Pancake Tuesday // FOOD

It's pancake day!
Which means it's time to start making those sweet little circles of fluff.
And if you're anything like us fail miserably. Or just try out a bunch of different recipes until we're happy with pancakes that look, and taste, semi decent.

So, if you're in the mood to make pancakes, we've decided to share the recipe that worked best for us!

Ingredients:

・135g plain flour
・ 1 teaspoon baking soda
・ ¹/₂ salt
・ 2 tablespoons caster sugar
・ 130ml milk
・ 1 large egg
・ 2 tablespoons (maybe 20g) melted butter

Method:

1. Sift the flour into a large bowl. Then add baking soda, caster sugar and salt.

2. In a separate bowl (or jug) add the milk and egg together and lightly whisk. Then whisk the melted butter in.

3. Gradually pour the milk and egg mixture into the flour mixture and, using a fork, beat until there are no lumps, until you have a smooth batter.

4. Heat a non-stick frying pan and add a small amount of sunflower/olive oil. Once the oil starts to sizzle a little then add a spoonful of batter. Wait until the top of the pancake begins to bubble, then grab a spatula and flip. Cook until both sides a golden brown and the pancakes have risen slightly.

5. Continue this until all the batter has been used.

6. And serve with whatever toppings you like. Maple syrup and squirt cream are always my go to pancake toppings!

Hope you're all having a great pancake Tuesday! Let us know if you've made any pancakes and show us your pictures!
