Monthly Favourites | APRIL

I missed Decembers and January's and February's oh and March's monthly favourites! I'M SORRY!
There's no excuse...apart from I've been working. But what kind of excuse is that?

I'll just get straight into this months favourites.

1. Loreal True Match Foundation. I have a small feeling that I used to own this when I first started Uni but I really can't remember. Anyway, when I first got paid I decided it was time to start buying makeup that was a little bit more pricey, purely because I'd never owned any and I wanted to see how my skin would take to it. Priciest drugstore makeup is technically Loreal. I love this foundation! It's slightly watery but blends really well and has great coverage. You don't even need a lot, just a couple pumps and that's it. Definitely recommend.

2. Zoeva Brushes. For years I've been a Real Techniques Brush kinda gal but at the beginning of the month I found a discount for the new rose gold Zoeva brushes and oh my goodness they're amazing. Each one is so soft and they apply makeup so smoothly. I get the most use out of the buffer brush (brush that's flat on top) because I use this when applying foundation. It covers so evenly and it's just all round great!

3. Body Shop Light Serum. Do you ever buy a foundation that looks like the right color when you try it in the shop but as soon as you apply it to your face it's too dark or orange? ALL THE FREAKING TIME! Well, Body Shop have amazingly come out with this serum that lightens your foundation...I know! I normally just pop a bit of foundation on the back of my hand and then add a couple drops of the serum to it and hey presto I have a foundation that my matches my skin tone.
They also have a darkening serum for anyone who buys foundation that's too light.

4. Adidas Original Superstars 80s & Adidas ZX Flux. I'm just putting these in the same number because there's no point in me telling you how amazing they are twice. Basically, I needed new trainers for work and also wanted a "casual" pair for when I can't be bothered wearing boots. I love both of them equally but if you're looking for a comfy pair of trainers then I totally recommend getting the ZX Flux. Seriously, I wear these on 12 hour shifts and my feet aren't even sore when I'm finished. They are amazing! Both trainers are comfy don't get me wrong but for true comfort you have to go with the ZX Flux.
Oh top tip (I got this from Kate), before you buy trainers from the adult section check out the Kids/Juniors section first to see if they have your size. You'll get them for about half the price and they look the exact same. You're welcome.

5. Mini Cactus. I love these lil' guys! I wanted mini cacti for ages and Kate and I finally went to IKEA and I bought some. Meet Steve, Dave and Kevin. Yes they are minions names. No I'm so not obsessed with that film, I just thought the names were cute for the cacti. Naming inanimate objects is a healthy thing ok!

6. Dot-to-dot Book. And you thought adult colouring books were all the rage? Well, I'm starting a new trend. Adult dot-to-dot books! It's very stress relieving - until you can't find the number you're looking for. I loved dot-to-dot as a kid so I'm way to excited seeing that they're making ones for adults.

7. Orphan Black. It's back. Season 4. The clones are here. I am soooooo flipping obsessed with this show. If you haven't seen it then here is a quick description of what it's about from our "Favorite TV Shows" post. If you have seen it and are totally caught up (I'm now on S4 Ep3) then what the heck is going on!? Those weird little maggot things? EW. But it's so good right?
