Initially Bekah and I were set on a furnished home, then we decided that maybe part furnished would be okay and now unfurnished is something we're definitely considering.
So why the change?
Availability: I think the first reason for the change is because of availability. It is far easier to find affordable homes which are unfurnished.
Flexibility: Lots of furnished houses are the way they are with very little changes allowed. However unfurnished places allow us to make the home our own much more.
The issues?
Cost: It is obviously more expensive to get your own furniture than to use furniture provided. And with money being a major factor in our ability to move out it is something we are keeping in mind. Expect a blog post about finding furniture coming in the near future!
Ideally we would find a fully furnished house which is furnished in our perfect style and is cheap. Likely? I think not.
Realistically we will find a part furnished house which has the basics that we can make our own with extras.
Any tips? Do you think furnished or unfurnished is better?
