So this week I had a purge of the accounts I follow on Instagram. I started off following around 380 accounts and now I'm down at 200. I really want my Instagram feed to be a place of inspiration and beauty where I want to like every picture. I think it's finally getting there, obviously there are a good number of accounts I follow which aren't quite to gorgeous, my 12 year old cousin for example does not necessarily have the strongest of Instagram games compared to some of the people I'm going to list below.
1. Dan Bell - Dan Bell is a photographer who travels the world, he's from my home town and used to attend the same church as I do which is why I initially followed him. His photos are incredible and make you want to grab a rucksack and go travelling.
2. Julinfinity - Julie is a French fashion and lifestyle blogger who posts gorgeous pictures on a daily basis. Flowers and trainers are major features on this account. Grey with splashes of colour, very aesthetically pleasing!
3. Wrdsmth - A writer in Hollywood who pastes words onto random walls and spaces and takes beautifully framed shots. So simple but so well thought out and unlike anything I've seen on any other account.
4. Hobbitontours - The official Instagram account of the movie set for Hobbiton. Need I say any more to convince you to follow this one?
5. Seedling Papiere - This is the Instagram account of an etsy shop for custom stationary. I've never purchased anything from the shop or even seen it on etsy but the designs they show on Instagram are gorgeous.
6. National Geographic - This one is a firm favourite of mine. Various photographers contribute and each picture has a story attached in the comment box giving you information about where, when and why the shot was taken.
7. All Things Common - Matt Miller is a blogger who posts gorgeous shots from his life and travels, the thing I like about this account is that unlike many lifestyle Instagram accounts Matt shows mainly people in his pictures, and he makes it very personal, adding stories of his encounters.
8. Project Woman Kind - This is an Instagram account dedicated to celebrating woman. Through interviews, art projects, videos and words this account is not just pretty pictures but is actually trying to empower and inspire woman.
9. VSCO selects - I love this account because each week this account selects their favourite VSCO cam pictures and reposts them on their account. It's been such a good source of incredible Instagram account reccomendations to me!
10. 26 Grains - 26 Grains is a café in London. I've never been but their photographs are divine and always make me hungry. They are releasing a cook book later this year and I'm definitely going to be picking it up if only for the photographs!
Any accounts you want to recommend?
