Health Changing Apps

Recently, Kate and three of our friends decided it would be a great idea to go on a diet. To be fair, they had all just been in Romania and had fatty, starchy and carby foods. Anyone would feel groggy after having those types of foods for two weeks.
However, it seems to be radiating onto me too. As much as I was ok eating a greasy pizza in front of them - laughing at them all, on the inside, because they can't taste how good it is - I seem to be checking calories for everything I'm about to eat.

Not cool.

I was perfectly happy not caring about what I ate, not exercising and then moaning about my flab. But I, now, really want to be a lot more healthy. And it's actually pretty good that everyone in our friendship group is on a diet. It means no one can be tempted by what someone else is eating.

I need motivation and am constantly on my phone. So, it's best if I have apps that I can click into that will help me along the way and I thought I'd share said apps with you guys!

1. TastyHealthy
I only recently downloaded this app and haven't actually tried anything yet BUT it looks amazing.
The app is filled with recipes that are healthy alternatives to your everyday meals. From Baking Goods, Breads, Lunches, to Protein Bars, I can't wait to try the recipes that they provide...any maybe even share some of the recipes I've been enjoying with you guys.
It does cost £1.49, so I really hope it's worth it.

2. My Fitness Pal
I used to have this app in my last year of Uni but for some reason deleted it because I really wasn't sticking to it. However, new motivation has called and I'm ready to try it again.
It basically ask you for your age, height and current weight, asks what your goal weight is and then calculates the amount of calories you should be eating to achieve your goal weight. Everyday you fill in what you've had and it calculates the calories for you.

3. Fit Woman
I've had this app for ages. When I got it I kind of went back and forth with it - because I'm very uncommitted when it comes to my health. However, I'm starting to love it again. They have a whole load of workouts to try (it's mainly pilates style workouts) or they can make a programme bested suited for you from questions that they ask you. The reason I like it is because their workouts are in lists on what you want to work, I.e legs, arms, stomach, and they only last between 10-20mins.

4. LifeSum
Similar to My Fitness Planner this tracks your calories and sets a diet plan suited to you and what you want to lose. It also has a quiz you can take to see what diet plan is best suited for you. They give you realistic time goals on losing weight and also provide recipes for you to try.

5. Couch To 5K
I'll be honest with you guys. I started couch to 5K and got to week 3 and decided I didn't like running and it wasn't the best way for me to lose weight. Mainly because I didn't have the motivation to do it.
However, Kate did this for weeks and really seemed to enjoy it. So, I say give it a bash. Try it out and see how you feel about it.
There's also the 30 day abs challenge too. I got to day 16 of that and then stopped. I may just start that up again.

Do you have any apps that we should try? Have you tried any of the apps mentioned?
