BuJo Evolution // Monthly Layouts

I thought today it would be interesting to see how my bullet journal has evolved over the past 9 months. As I've used it and adapted it to suit my needs I've obviously changed things here and there.
So here we go from January to September. 9 months of monthly layouts. Let's see how things have changed.

January - March

In January I started my bullet journal and because I didn't have a clue what I was doing I just did what everyone else was doing at that time. I think this layout came from BoHo Berry.
I used it for 3 months until I realised I hated how it looked and I wanted something which at a glance I could see if I was busy on a certain day. I also knew that I could get rid of the planning for the next month because that was something I just did not use.

April - September

As far as I remember it wasn't someone else's bullet journal that I got this from. I think I just decided I wanted a calendar layout and that's what I did. I used stickers with a key at the bottom to show regular tasks and events.

July was when I next made a change, all be it a very small one. I stopped using stickers for my little dots and changed to using pens. Honestly the reason for this was that I lost my stickers and didn't want to pay for more.
Once I found the stickers I decided to stick with using pens, The stickers were fiddly and an unnecessary cost. The only down side to not using them is that if I put a dot in the wrong place I can no longer just peel a sticker off.

And then we arrive at September. I only made one small change this month and that was to write out my key in the order in which I put the dots in the boxes. For example my yellow "St Johns" dot is first so when using that dot it goes in the top left corner of a day. My grey "SimplyKarah" dot is last so it goes in the 5th box along. Does that make sense?

So really my monthly spreads haven't changed all that dramatically since April. But I think that's because I've found a layout I really like and that works for me.

What changes have you made to your monthly spreads? Any suggestions?
