In fact, Kate and I have an addiction to candles. It's pretty normal to have that addiction right? RIGHT!
I went on a candle splurge a couple nights ago and have been waiting patiently for them to arrive so I can smell all their goodness (side note: I went on a candle splurge because Kate went on a candle splurge, she's a great influence).
I bought all these candles from a company called 'Our Own Candle Company' which we stumbled upon in St. Andrews a couple years back. And have decided to do a little collective haul on what I got.
Bonfire
Smells like a real bonfire! It's one of those, if you close your eyes and imagine yourself sitting next to that bonfire on the beach or in your local country park or in your backyard (all safely, of course), getting warm and taking in that amazing bonfire smell. That is the candle.
Falling Leaves
It doesn't smell like your in a forest of freshly fallen, crisp leaves. It's smells nice but not like nature. But it somehow smells Autumnal! It has a slight citrusy smell to it but also a fresh smell. It's really hard to describe, but I like it.
Carmel Pecan
This is really sweet. At first I thought too sweet but I think once it's burning then it could maybe calm down a bit. You know how sometimes when you first open a candle it's really strong and then as you burn it the smell fades? Yeah, I'm hoping it'll be like that! Maybe one for the kitchen. Trick people into thinking you're cooking something really delicious. It has a very strong caramel scent.

Apple Strudel
If I'm being honest, I don't know what apple strudel smells like but this smells GOOD. It's a very fresh apple smell with a hint of cinnamon. Apple pie, is that what strudel is? I really don't know but this smells delicious!
Pumpkin Spice
This smells like another candle I've owned. I think maybe Spiced Eggnog by Woodwick. It's got a slight cinnamon scent to it but also has a slight burning smell to it. Very autumnal. Definitely a favorite.
Hot Buns (Cinnamon)
Ahh, so cinnamon. I love anything with a hint of cinnamon in it. Actually, not even a hint. Just give me a cinnamon candle and I'll love it! It's very nice, not too sweet. Really does smell like hot cross buns!
Pumpkin Cream Pie
This one is pretty similar to Pumpkin Spice but is sweet. Again though, not too sweet. Maybe, another for the kitchen. You could trick people into thinking you're cooking a pumpkin pie. I've never had one but yum!
I want more autumnal candles. If you know of any place that sell amazing autumn smelling candles please, please let us know!
Have you ever tried 'Our Own Candle Company'? What candles are you loving so far this season?
