This post is basically about how I edit my Instagram photos.
What apps I use and if I have a theme how it comes about.
I like Instagram. I like being able to see other people photos from around the world. I love landscape photos that show the beauty of the earth or amazingly edited photos of other people...or sparklers/fairy lights. I LOVE fairy lights.
I post pretty regularly. Most photos are from my phone and some from my camera. I really enjoy editing them and playing about till I can get them looking the way I want.
Apps I use:
1. VSCOCam
An app I think is used by millions of people. There are loads of filters to choose from and that editing feature is really simple and easy to use. The quality of the editing tools are also pretty great so this app is one of my essentials.
2. AColorStory
I only recently discovered this app and I really like it! The filters are fun and bring a sort of edge to your photos. Again, the editing tools are really easy to use BUT you can add light leaks. You know those photos where you think the sun has hit the lense almost perfectly creating weird ghost circles/lines? Well, now you don't need those amazing accidents, you can just add your own!
3. CandyCam
This app doesn't really have editing tools. The thing I like about this one is that you can see them filter before pressing the capture button. Real life filters are goals.
The filters are more vintage style (which are really cute).
4. Photoshop Express
This one has a lot of features similar to all the other apps mentioned.
However, you can zoom into the photo's while editing them. Which I like because you can see all the little details and if it actually looks good.
What I always go for: I picture that is sharp, has a focus point or is a landscape OR has people in it, maybe a bit of NATURAL blur and just seems to pop (get the contrast up).
Do you have any tips and tricks on how to edit your instas?
