November Set Up // BuJo

So somehow it's the end of October and time to set up my bullet journal for November.

Nothing dramatically different this month, a couple of changes here and there but if I'm honest I'm saving my big changes for January and my new bullet journal.

This month I have slacked a little on my tracker, the last couple of weeks have been so busy that the last thing I have time for is tracking how little sleep I'm getting!

Setting up November has given me a new burst of love for my bullet journal so fingers crossed November will be a month where I use it loads!

As always if you have a bullet journal I would love to see it!

My November monthly spread is no different than my previous few. The only difference is that it's much busier than it usually is before the month's even started!

After really struggling to be bothered to fill in the tracker in October I have opted for a very reduced tracker this month. I'll see how I get on with this and then decide whether the tracker is something I want to keep at all.

Since getting rid of my monthly challenge this page has been sadly neglected. This month I decided to try something new and I've given myself a word of the month. Grace is the first word that popped into my mind when I thought about a word that I could reflect on this month so I'm going with it!

This Is Scotland | Loch Lomond Seaplane

Way, way back in June my family and I were meant to take a trip on a seaplane in Loch Lomond for my dad's birthday. However, it ended up getting cancelled...twice.
We rebooked for a few weeks ago and luckily the weather was good enough for us to go on this rare adventure.
I know Kate and I go on about how beautiful Scotland is but I honestly can't express, enough, to you how gorgeous and breath taking this country is. Don't believe me? Here are the pictures to prove it from this sunny, brisk, autumnal day.

What I Got For My Birthday // 23!

So a few weeks ago I turned 23. I know, I'm basically dead now.
I thought I would share some of the things my lovely friends and family got me.

Oliver Bonas
I was lucky enough to get a few things from Oliver Bonas from various people. My lovely sister Becky got me an amazing smelling shower gel and this beautiful bowl that I'd actually been eyeing up for ages! And my friend Molly got me this bottle of matches.

Urban Outfitters
Molly got me this cat mug which amuses me far too much and I send her a picture of it every time I use it because it's a different cat depending on the colour of the drink I'm having. Sad I know, but I love it.

Kylie Jenner

Bekah is literally the best present buyer ever. I don't know how she does it! She got me A Kylie Jenner lipkit and an eyeshadow, both of which are absolutely gorgeous and stay on like a dream.

NYX
Becky (again) was a total gem and got me some gorgeous makeup from NYX. I've not quite worked out the contouring kit yet, but I will! And the lip stain is the perfect colour for Autumn.

Becky also got me this Scarf from Accessories which is so Autumnal and I've already worn it half to death.

You all know candles are my favourite so when I got this Woodwick candle from Bekah I was very very happy.

This isn't all the presents I got but it's a snapshot of some of my favourites. All in all I am a really lucky girl and I just want to say a massive thanks to all the people who bought me gifts. Y'all are great.

INEVITABLE DISCLAIMER: This is not me bragging...I simply like seeing what people get so I figured you might to.

10 Things I'm Loving Right Now

So remember how I started doing monthly favourites and then would completely leave you guys hanging for two months and then do another monthly favourites and have left you hanging since then? I mean, no one is asking for monthly favourites but in my head I've left everyone hanging.
Instead, I'm going to do 10 things I'm loving right now. It means I don't have the pressure of getting a monthly favourites out at the beginning of a new month, because I'll never remember.
And I like being a little different and love change!
So here are 10 things I'm loving right now.
1. Rose Water and Pink Lemonade Face Masks
Two different face masks. They both smell AMAZING. I've always wanted to try the face masks that are an actual mask. Not a peel-off or a clay or cream mask but an actual mask. They're a little bit wet and moist, almost as if they have a gel paste on them and sometimes I don't like touching them but once they're on your face and you've mushed all the pastey stuff around then it feels nice and relaxing. Take it off once it's dry and your skin feels lovely.
I got these ones from TKMaxx, costing around £3-£5.

2. Max Factor Miracle Touch Foundation
I've been recently wanting to try out new foundations. Maybe not new to the market but new to me. I also like different/quirky so this is pretty much perfect for me. It's kind of like a creamy foundation that comes in a compact case, almost like your powders. You get a small round sponge with it to apply however what I like to do is apply it to my face with this and then blend it out with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. I really love this foundation. It's so easy to apply, doesn't feel cakey, really good coverage and feels nice and smooth. Cost: £12.99 from Boots

3. Black Skinny Ripped Jeans
I'm ready for Autumn. Overly ready. But, that doesn't stop me from wearing ripped jeans. I love wearing these with boots and also trainers. They pretty much go with anything and seem to be my "go-to" pair of jeans at the moment. Cost: £24.99 from New Look.

4. Teen Wolf
I started loving this program whilst in Amsterdam. Netherlands had it on their Netflix, I needed something new to watch, and one click later I was completely hooked. I'm not normally a super-natural fan but I really enjoy this show. There's only one season left till it finishes and I'm so sad.
I don't really know how to sell this show. I feel like it's one that you need to watch the first couple episodes and see make a decision about it.

5. Cream Army(ish) Boots
I bought these when I was in High School. About 5 years ago. So, I'm sorry to say that they're no longer in stores BUT I'm sure there are some alternatives out there...you might just need to troll the internet to find them. I bought them wanting something different for the winter and then took them home and hated them! However, paired with my black skinny ripped jeans I'm starting give them the love they should have had from the beginning.

6. Autumnal Candles
If you've seen my latest blog post about the candles I recently just bought then you'll understand why this is in this list. I love candles and Autumn so this is pretty much a no brainer. I'm so ready for the cold weather and the smells that will radiate from these candles.

7. Soap & Glory Highlighter
Oh my goodness these highlighters are everything! I currently have the blush one and it has so much glow to it. One thing I especially love about these highlighters is that you can have it as faded or bright as you like. One swipe gives you a nice little shine and the more you add the greater the shimmer. Go try them for yourselves!

8. Sims 3
You know, I was very skeptical about putting this one in. Mainly because I thought Kate would judge me, really badly BUT turns out she downloaded it last week and is hooked too! I don't know why I like it so much but I do, and it's fun.

9. eos Lip Balms
I have a little OTT collection of eos lip balms. Basically, I bought two in the UK and loved them, then went to Canada and told the woman we were staying with how much I liked them and that I was going to buy some. We went to Walmart and she asked what ones I would use (all bar two), she shoved them in the trolley and paid for them. I am very grateful to her, they are a great gift and I now have to get through right lip balms before they go out of date. BUT THEY ALL SMELL (and taste) SO GOOD!

10. Flat Hunting
I feel like I'm cheating with this one but I am so loving looking at potential flats online. Kate and I are planning on moving in together and I can't wait. This has been something we've said to each other since we were about 12 and we never thought we'd see the day when it actually happened...and it will!

Relaxing Spa Day

We went to a spa!
This is something we've never done. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing. Booked the day before. Didn't know what to expect as I've only ever been to one spa and Kate's not been to any.
However, it was, overall a really nice, relaxing time.

We booked afternoon tea (unfortunately we have no photos, but take my word for it; it was ok), both got facials and then chilled by, and in, the pool.
This spa trip was for Kate's birthday (she's joined me at the ripe young age of 23) but we have decided to make spa days, or breaks, something we do on occasions. Birthdays, Christmas, Easter, Good Friday, New Year, Pancake Tuesday, and maybe, at a push, St Patrick's Day. Nah, I'm joking, but the first three yes.
Anyhoo, here are a few photos from our day (when I say a few I mean 5)

TGIF // Friday Favourites

I've not done a Friday favourites in a while, most of my favourites recently have been birthday presents and I'm doing a blog post on my presents.

I just finished reading this book and if you're looking for a quick cosy read this is perfect. Plus if you know me you know I love a book about books!

How-To | Survive Autumn Bugs

This post is inspired by us being ill. I wouldn't be ill if Kate hadn't given me her sicky bug, but we like to share things so it was bound to happen.
Here are my top tips on surviving those Autumn/Winter illnesses.

1. Go to Your Doctor
If you have a chesty cough (and other symptoms) or have been throwing up for a couple days, then go see your doctor. They can give you medication to help relieve your symptoms or if you need a sick line for work, they'll give you that. Because, let's face it, if you work with people who are already sick or with people who are prone to get sick (like little kids) then you're best not to be at work.

Move Out With Us // Furnished v Unfurnished

Initially Bekah and I were set on a furnished home, then we decided that maybe part furnished would be okay and now unfurnished is something we're definitely considering.

So why the change?

TGIF // Friday Favourites

This nail polish has been a favourite of mine for years. It's the perfect nail polish for those days that I can't make a decision about what colour to wear. Depending on the light and angle the polish can look blue, green or purple on the nail.
