So recently a couple of my friends and I have been upping our game when it comes to watching films. We're trying to watch more of the classic films that we've heard of but not actually seen.
Arrival - aliens have landed and a brilliant linguist is called in to communicate with them
The Accountant - a maths genius cooks the books for some of the most dangerous criminal organisations.
Rogue One - how did the alliance get the plans for the death star? This is their story.
DVD
Sicario - follows an FBI agent as she works alongside a CIA team to take a stand against the war on drugs
Sicario - follows an FBI agent as she works alongside a CIA team to take a stand against the war on drugs
Fight Club - The formation of and events surrounding fight clubs
Birdman - follows the story of an actor (famous for his portrayal as a superhero) as he puts together a Broadway show, he has to battle his own ego to truly succeed.
Reservoir Dogs - 6 strangers are brought together to pull of the perfect crime. The robbery turns out to be an ambush and they realise someone in their crew is a police informer.
A Time To Kill - following a white lawyer defending a black man who killed his daughters white rapists (race is important in this one)
Spotlight - journalists uncovering the historical sexual abuse of children by Catholic priests in Boston
I would go round these films individually and give my rating but honestly? I loved them all.
If I had to pick a top 3 for enjoyment it would be: Rogue One, Arrival and La La Land.
If I had to pick a top 3 for an incredible film they would be: Reservoir Dogs, Birdman and La La Land.
Overall winner - La La Land. If you haven't seen it yet then get your act together and go!!!
